Required service for the GM oil life system are described by the terms Maintenance l and Maintenance ll. Use Maintenance l if the change oil indicator light comes on within 10 months of vehicle purchase or when Maintenance ll was the last service performed. The first service should be a Maintenance l and the second should be a Maintenance ll. You should alternate services between these two schedules thereafter. Maintenance ll service may be required more often depending on your driving habits. MAINTENANCE l • Change engine oil and filter. Reset oil life system • Visually check for any leaks or damage • Inspect engine air cleaner filter. Replace if necessary. (Additional charge for air filter replacement) • Rotate and inspect tires. Check inflation pressure and wear. • Inspect brake system, including brake lines, hoses, pads, calipers, wheel cylinders, rotors and drums. • Check engine coolant and windshield washer fluid. MAINTENANCE ll • Includes Maintenance l and the following checks. • Clean outside of radiator & condenser, pressure check cooling system and cap. • Lubricate suspension, steering linkage & transaxle shift linkage. • Inspect drive axle boots for damage, tears or leakage. • Inspect safety belts, buckles, latch plates, retractors, anchorage and safety belt reminder light for damage or loose parts. • Lubricate key lock cylinders and hood, door & trunk hinges\latches. • Inspect throttle linkage. • Inspect steering system and suspension for damage and loose or missing parts. • Inspect power steering lines and hoses for leaks or damages. • Inspect cabin air filter and replace if necessary. (Additional charge for cabin air filter replacement) • Inspect brake-transaxle shift interlock for correct operation. • Inspect fuel system for damage or leaks. • Check transmission fluid level. Additional recommended services and costs resulting from inspections performed will be brought to your attention. NOTICE It is important to check your engine oil regularly and keep it at the proper level. Failure to maintain proper oil level can result in expensive engine repairs not covered by the vehicle warranty. It is also important to check your tires for wear and proper inflation. Failure to maintain properly inflated tires can result in decreased fuel economy, premature wear, vehicle damage or personal injury.
